That caveat being climate change, all new or improved plans for infrastructure will have to pass climate change standards. Wonder how much of that is going to be figured into the price tag and if that's part of the appropriation of tacked on later.

What sort of data will you use to make a determination about widening a highway or changing a port, other than how much money you pay the consultants.;)

We are so far gone into clown world, just when you think things can't get any more ridiculous, democrats dig deep and triple down on their insanity.

Here's the latest gem from the multi-trillon dollar wealth redistribution bill: four weeks of paid leave ... for people who don't have jobs.

    Seriously.

Why just get a tax refund for not working, when you can get paid _and_ get a tax refund for not working? Is this a great country or what!

Since this administration seems to be Obama 2.0, the mind reels at the possibilities. Remember Waters of the U.S.? If you took a **** on the ground there was an EPA agent there to plant a sign in it and declare it a protected government waterway. When I would drive from Indy to Bloomington the highway was dotted with these stupid signs along with snow fence to protect every federally protected mud hole along the new highway construction. No wonder the highway contractor went bankrupt, abandoned the project, and cost the state millions rebidding and restarting the project! A lot of that policy got overturned in court but there's no guarantee all their hair brained liberal schemes will suffer a similar fate and those that survive will only make things harder and more expensive for the rest of us.

It's not going away, like a predator in the bush it's looking for the next opportunity. Lots of money to be made here by the well connected both foreign and domestic at the expense of Americans. Some people will get very rich mining our wallets and they will be very persistent about getting that cash.

    Always follow the money

So what us the current belief of the Ingo collective?
Is Biden's Buid Back Bolshevik dead or just Biden' it's time?
My prediction is Manchin will mysteriously come down with COVID over the Christmas holiday and then next year they'll make a renewed push to pass the bill without his objections to stand in their way.

It's like joining the EU - there's always another vote until it goes their way.
Then there are no more votes.
Sort of like millage requests. Don't know what it's like in Indiana but in Michigan if a millage is defeated, the next day the talk begins about bringing it back.

Can't. They have to have 100% of dems in line in the Senate to bring in the cackler to break the tie. Lose Manchin and lose the ability to tie the vote.

Yeah, governor of WVa is Republican (don't know if he's a RINO but he is very wealthy) so
appointed replacement for Manchin even less likely to get onboard with BBB

I was just referring to any vote without Manchin, not with his potential replacement. The vote without him would be 49D-50R, so no tie, no input from the cackler. In that scenario BBB is still dead.

Understood. That outcome requires all Republicans to stay onboard with the program to defeat it, though

Do we have that doppelgänger for Mitt Romney ready yet?

We could end up in the same strait jacket the Dems are in now, with a single senator calling the shots on what HE wants as the price of his vote
