    I thought it was weird to see a Red Line bus going down 34th St this morning...

    Preliminary reporting and some really early pictures from passengers make it look like a crackhead lit a fire inside the passenger area, so maybe not an actual battery fire until after the whole thing went up.

    Memories...
    June, maybe July 2005, and a bus full (26 IIRC) of young Iraqi police recruits that got hit with an IED.
    Nothing left but an empty shell and charred bones.
    This was like one of those "you can't smell a photo" deals.
    Yeah... I can.
    When I was an EMT went to the house fire that Clarence Roberts and his wife were consumed in down here in Brown County. Same deal. Burned flesh-pretty memorable smell.

    Didn't mean to make it sound like I thought the battery went up, just that a fire like that, when it got to the batteries...
