Can I swap Aimpoint Pro between AR and my hog rifle (what is the down side)?

I am toying with buying an H34L Aimpoint hunting scope for my hog rifle. However, what is the disadvantage of using the Pro on both rifles? What is the advantage of having 9" of tube (H34L) hanging on the hogger? Will it acquire a running hog better than the Pro? I'm sure that I can find a mount for my Savage that will accept the Aimpoint Pro. Is there anyone out there who has experience on both scopes? Am I missing something? Money is not necessarily the deciding factor.

Are you wanting to re-zero the scope every time you move it to the other gun? I would just get two scopes.

Ok, no I would not want to do that. Now, what about the AimPoint Pro vs the H34L. Is there any real advantage to the H34L on my 25-06 instead of another Pro?
