We all know what to do about it. But doing something will ruin our lives and probably the lives of our loved ones.
We're in a no win situation where good men can do nothing for if we do it brings more troubles on us and ours. We do not have the will of men past.
Which is why so many good men just want to be left alone and wait for society to implode itself.

Agree. I'm going to add that we also lack organization. Millions with the same thoughts, but strangers to one another.

And anyone that tries to organize is quickly demonized and made into a monster the devil from hell would not associate with. Most will avoid the guy while many will perpetuate the slander…
Absolutely. The minute you gain over 10 people you will be branded separatists.
If your also white and armed well then....Now your a threat. A white separatist armed militia probably a threat to democracy.
    Waco anyone????

I think I'm right there with you. That's what's so hard to convey via typing. I know some things that can be done about it, I'm just stuck on what I should be doing about it in the now.

Agree! Too many depending on me, and we're comfortable enough for the moment. This is why the young are so effective at bringing change, they can swing for the fence without nearly as much on the line. When I was young, I worried only about the price I might pay for my actions. Now it's the price my wife, children, friends, employees, customers..... will pay. Very different equation.

I'm not so sure though about the "We do not have the will..." part. I think the current situation is a little more complex. It's a big interdependent system with less self sufficiency. It's also less 'in your face' than a soldier barging into my kitchen ordering my wife to feed him and his men, while they smile at my daughters and plan to march on the town arsenal in a few hours (and the same happening or happened at my neighbors homes).

This is more like being trapped in a hotel (with food, beer, and Netflix), feeling all the possible exits are covered, but knowing you must get out before they start pumping the gas into all the rooms.

I am sensitive over my weight. If we could minimize the “fat shaming“ in this thread that would be nice.
Embrace it! When Biden's agenda hits full stride and actual rationing begins, us fatties will have a lot more reserves to fall back on than the rest so we can weather the restrictions longer and easier. I've also noticed the cold doesn't bother me nearly as much now as in my younger skinnier days so fat must make a good insulator.

I may just be an old fat Indiana farm boy and dumber than a box of rocks, but I just don't get it.

    You can't justify this insanity:

    • If a guy pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him.

    • Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America.

    • Russians influencing our elections are bad, but illegals voting in our elections are good.

    • Twenty is too young to drink a beer, but eighteen is old enough to vote or loin the military.

    • People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.

    • Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio (and now Covid too) are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.

    • Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang member or terrorist who jumps the southern fence is welcome.

    • $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.

    • If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free.

    • If you cheat in an election nothing happens to you, but if you point out the mathematical errors of that election you are a conspiracy theorist & disdained.

    • People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.

    • We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan for us.

    • Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.

    • Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of their rights.

Nothing makes sense anymore - no values, no morals, and no civility. Where is the country I love headed? What Edmond Burke once said about evil and good men is even more relevant today than ever.
    Maybe Brandon can explain it?

And to this I'll add that the differentiation between factions is harder to discern. Red coats were easy to spot and define. Then we had Blue vs. Grey with specific demarcations of area like a river, mountain bend or state line. Now? The pussyhatwearers live in and among the deplorables that believe in two genders and personal freedom. The allies and axis are very jumbled in physical proximity.

Back in the late 50s or early 60s, the noted science fiction author, Robert Heinlein, laid out a "Future History" timeline for a series of stories and novels. Ironically, in at least one of those stories he outlined some headlines that could be right out of today's news. That period of time was called "The Crazy Years" and it preceded a major societal upheaval.

That Heinlein may not have had the decade correct, but we definitely are in The Crazy Years.
