    [FONT=&quot]It could just be a charging handle on the back of the slide. That gun is incomplete. Why would you have a sight rail on it without some sort of red dot?

    FYI: they have carbine conversion kits for all you 1911 fanboys.

    By what appears to be a select fire lever on the rear of the slide.

    Call me a doubter, but I don't think that is a select fire lever.
    It may be some butchered up illegal switch but it's not factory.
    Just because I don't know what it is doesn't mean I don't know what it's not. ;)

    The factory Glocks have a select fire on the side of the slide.

    While you are correct on knowing the location of the factory switch on the Model 18 (on the side), there are aftermarket switches/levers available that replace the back plate of the slide. These replacement back plates are evidenced in the pictures provided in my previous post. If you look at the picture in the original post, you will see that it appears too small to be a Model 18. This means it was probably fitted with an aftermarket select fire switch/lever, and would be located on the rear of the slide and not the side.
