    Wouldn't it be the same OAL since the bullet would have been seated with the same die and setting?

    You are correct sir. The OAL is the same. I was thrown off by the obvious visual difference in bullet sticking out of case:

    A 380 acp is also know as a 9mm Corto, 9mm Kurz, 9mm Browning Short, 9 x 17mm and others I can't remember.

    A 9mm Mkarov is known as a 9 x 18 and the ones we get at the shop are headstamped "9MM M", 9mm MAK, or 9mm Makarov

    A 9mm Leger is 9 x 19 and I assume everybody is familiar with this cartridge!

    Then there is also a 9 x 21, 9 x 23, a 9 x 25 and a 9mm Win Mag

    It makes an enjoyable day sorting out all of these when a 55 gallon drum of 9mm casings
