I have eight squirrels that come to my back door every day to eat corn, milo, and sunflower seed, and they have NEVER messed with my cat food in 15 years. However, this year, one of them loves to chow down on cat food - the meatier the better. I don’t mean just tasting, but eating the whole bowl. Has anyone else ever seen a carnivorous squirrel?

Many animals that we think of as plain ol' herbivores are opportunistic omnivores.

    Cows...deer...horses...
...sheep. In some places with no calcium in the soil, sheep have been know to carefully eat out the foot joints of ground-nesting seabirds to get calcium from their bones. They don't usually kill the nestlings, but render them paraplegic. Those sheep are mean bastards.

Poor thing probably ate some cannabis edibles and will go on a shooting spree soon.

The edible was probably laced though.
