    What are the reasons to have a weapon cerakoted?


    To make it look "tacti-cool" of course!
    Seriously though, a Cerakote finish is all but hard as nails. No more worries about rust.
    Generally MUCH easier to clean.
    Looks great if done properly and so many color choices...

    Besides everyone droppin their panties when you whip it out?

    I'd say the biggest downside would be, it's a personal choice. If you were to go to resell it later, you may struggle if the colors are odd. Also, it's important to find someone who knows what they are doing. It could cause issues of it gets in places it shouldn't be.
