I bought this one below at the Indy 1500. It's a nice plinker. Make sure you clean it before shooting and don't dry fire it.

    To Expensive

I have seen the Puma model here in Ohio for $229. Of course that won't
    help you where you live.
I have the Chiappa 22LR pistol.
You must use high velocity ammo, keep it clean, and NEVER dry fire it.
There is a 300 round break in period, which is a pain. After you get
through that, mine has been very reliable and accurate for what it is.
The GSG is a much better pistol, but like you said, expensive.

The one I shot had a horrible trigger and terrible sights. My friend who bought it sold it after that range session, he didn't like it either. I personally would save up a little more money and get a GSG. Have heard really good things about them....

The GSG is generally regarded as a MUCH better .22LR 1911 platform that the Chiappa...and worth the extra cost.

That said, I've never fired either of them; just have read glowing reviews of the GSG...and a smattering of "meh" about the Chiappa.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Chiappa. Id save the extra and get the GSG myself. The GSG is better quality and they even make the same gun for SIG, but it has SIG grips and markings on it.

    Trigger Has Been Improved

Don't know when you shot this pistol, but mine has a great trigger.
Early models had terrible triggers, but newer (I think starting late 2010)
had new triggers. It is what it is, but if you can get one for $199, I would
    not hesitate.
