My deck isn't huge, a bit bigger than average, but it's elevated. My wife really enjoys that.

It is really not all about the size of the deck. I think it is more about the quality of the wood. Quality wood last alot longer. The funny thing is I can't get my wife to set on it more than an hour at a time and maybe ounce a month. No elevated Deck though for me because after 4 hours I didn't want to see a doctor.
