I have a Chinese SKS that I'm trying to figure out when it was made.
I tried the Google route but didn't have any luck.
It appears to have an original side scope mount, But the scope is not original.
All of the numbers match with the exception of the magazine well.
The 0135 before the serial number appears to be the arsenal stamp.

I am also trying to determine the value as well.

I have posted some pics of the rifle and a close up of the serial number.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    56 model... is the hanzi.

0135 is almost certainly commercial production. There should be a rectangular cartouche around the 0135, methinks.

Cannot use the SN to date. Only Arsenal 26 rifles.

The closest you can come is to check the bayonet, and whether the barrel is pinned or screwed. If you had the original stock, that might help.

    Yooper John is excellent.

All matching would help (all internals too). Frankly I think a tapped receiver lowers the value (for me, at least), so the scope is a wash if not actually lowering the value.

On GB something like this would bring mid $200 to low $300. IMO. But YMMV.

It may be a commercial model.
The stock is milled to allow for the scope bracket mounting plate on the receiver. So that makes me think that it is an original stock.

You might be able to figure out when it was imported, from the import mark. Can you tell who imported it?

20 in. barrel? What is the battle zero marking on the rear sight? Roman or cyrillic marking?

I don't think anyone knows any details about the commercial factories. For all we know, produced in the state arsenals and marked with commercial origin stamps.

This is a pic of the import stamp.
    Barrel is about 20 inches.

I have searched around on several sites. Was just seeing if any Ingo-ers can help shed some light with their personal experience with their SKS.
I'm nearly certain it was made at the 0135 arsenal so pinpointing a specific date may be impossible.
