I just read an article in The Southside Times, a local weekly newspaper saying that a llocal man has bought the rights to the old Choc-Ola and is bringing it back. For those not familiar, Choc-Ola is a chocolat flavored drink that was around from 1944-85. It brings back memories of my childhood.

I think it was around longer than that; we had it in the vending machines when I was in high school in the (very) early 90s. Or maybe those cans were just that old... <<shudder>>

I was just quoting from the article so its possible...that the cans were that old. Remember, I know where you went to high school....<<<shudder>>>

Tasty stuff!:yesway: Funny thing is we were just talking about it this week at work, wondering if it was still around.

I believe you are right. I used to spend time with my uncle when i was 7-10 ish and he ALWAYS had some for us. :rockwoot:

That would put it at least until at least 1992. Though i think he had it while he built his house and that was '94.

    I love that stuff... :D

"If you can't say anything nice, don't say nothin' at all"

the lone ranger used to be on after/before them as well. Does nostalgia mean we are getting old? Maybe it's just the freakish three inch long eyebrow hairs that grow overnight.

Wow, I guess I never knew it went away. Funny how things you love disappear and you don't realize it until people talk about it coming back. Choc-Ola was my absolute favorite growing up. I can't wait to have a taste of my childhood.
