I don't know CM, those serrations are not vertical. REAL 1911s have vertical slide serrations and a grip safety designed to remove chunks of skin. :)

If you buy any Sig you'll probably sell all your other handguns and buy more Sigs. Best factory made handgun available. You could buy a Sig 1911 and have both.

Great so you could have walked into a gun shop in 1911 and walked out with same pistol.
How retro I starting to believe 1911 guys are hipsters !

I am waiting to see what kind of chamber support they have, then ...

I didn't realize that Sig was making a 10mm 1911. That could be quite interesting if they did it right.

    Sorry been busy,
i went with the Ruger 1911 Lightweight 9mm Model 6722.
    Ruger® SR1911® * Centerfire Pistol Model 6722
Hope to get to the range tomorrow. Love how it feels in the hand so far!

Thanks for all of the input!
Absolutely LOVE mine. If you haven't shot a 1911 in 9mm yet, you really should, it's a hoot! Definitely want to hear a range report. I found the 10# factory recoil spring made the slide feel "lazy" when cycling. I swapped it for a 14# commander recoil spring, and problem solved, it runs even better than it did out of the box.

I think you'll be very, very happy with your decision.

I've heard a few horror stories about Ruger 1911 lightweight commanders, I believe I saw one on here as well, and because of those I won't go there.
