Can we stop using 9/11 as an excuse to further limit our freedoms all in the name of feeling safe? This is blatant fear mongering.

How is enhanced interrogation of terrorists limiting YOUR freedoms?

Its not. But it could be. Americans have become targets of the war on terror, and the way that our govt defines terrorism, I'd be nervous about it. They make mistakes.

This isnt even helping anyone. Its a pretty weak argument that we get any good quality intel from torture, so morality aside, its likely ineffective for intelligence gathering. And letting the world see this report??? How many terrorists were created by becoming enraged in America's actions? How many family members decided to take up arms against our troops bc of this? I get that ISIL is evil, and terrorism is scary, but we cant destroy terrorists and become just as bad as them in the process. We are better than them, and owe it to the world and ourselves to strive to be better.

Thats quite a profile pic btw. haha

    Actually, sometimes it does. :)

Probably about the same ratio as torture. Ain't that a kick in the head!?

In other news, a Gitmo detainee is starving himself.

Shall we ban self-induced torture? Or, as has been argued by some in the past, is force-feeding a version of torture, if the person doesn't want it?

I guess it could be argued that self induced starvation is a torture because they wouldn't be doing that if they were not being held in the first place.
I guess the best idea is to just let them all go.
    See, we are good people.
    I haz a warm fuzzy.

"Enhanced Interrogation".... I love this politically correct crapola.
I don't think anything matters on how you say it. Someone will always get their panties in a bind.

Do we always go from captured immediately to "torture" (whatever that is)? There's never any other methods used to gain information used first? Somehow, I get the feeling it's no. But we've got a drum to beat and we might as well get all we can from it.

    That's classified.

And the answer doesn't justify torture, legally or morally.
