Clear Water FL...Snorkling Prospects..

Was considering places to go on a summer vacation and it seems the masses have voted Clear Water FL on top of the list. Now when I go to a beach area on vacation I tend to enjoy partaking in a little snorkeling. So my question was has anyone been snorkeling in the Clear Water area, and if so how would they rate the experience, and what are some good places to enjoy a little snorkeling? Any must visit areas?

As always any advice is appreciated.

Sounds like Egmont Key is the place to go. Unlike the name says, water clarity may be an issue

I am not doubting the power of INGO, but you might want to find a fishing forum local to where you are going.
Google earth is also something to use to look for opportunities.

I lived just east of Tampa for 26 years, The place the locals go is Coquina Beach. Bradenton Florida About 45 min south of clearwater. The water is much clearer.
