Has anyone ever tried to remove cold blue from steel? I have an antique pistol that has a light finish on it and I’m curious to see if it’s possible to remove it without further damaging the original finish.

    Thanks!

I took it off my Ruger vaquero cylinders with my ultrasonic cleaner and brass cleaning solution. Came out in the white. Really sharp looking. IMO.
