Counter-Protest to a Socialist demonstration in South Bend - 3/18/2010

Patriots! Join the Michiana-912 group and stage a counter-protest to the MoveOn.org socialists that will be demonstrating across the street. This rally will be at an intersection adjacent to the office of Congressman Joe Donnelly. We must turn out our numbers and show the congressman and the public that we do not support Obamacare. These events are perfectly safe and the crowds stay on opposite corners of the intersection. Its actually pretty entertaining to watch.

As usual, just look for the crowd who actually displays the American flag, so your able to find the other real Americans.

Dear MoveOn member,
We're so close—President Obama called on Congress to send him a final health care bill by the end of the month.
But opponents won't go down without a fight. They're going to throw everything they have at killing reform—including trainings for right-wing activists, recorded phone calls, and misleading TV ads. We need to be out pushing for health care in force.
So I'm working with the local MoveOn Council to organize an event in South Bend. We'll stand up and make sure Congress knows that voters want them to get real health care reform done.
The event is on Thursday, Mar. 18, 2010, at 11:15 AM in South Bend. The location of our event is: Colfax Ave. & Main St..
Here's the event description:
We are joining forces with all those who support health care reform for another counter-demonstration rally! The Tea Party is staging a noon rally at Congressman Donnelly's office, and we need to outnumber them, just like we did last fall for a similar occasion. Please come!
If this goes anything like the last time, be prepared to stand and chant on any one of the four corners of Colfax & Main. It will become clear which corner the protesters claim and we pro-reformers will populate all the other corners. Please bring your "Health Care Now" type of signs and go with the flow!

The following was sent out today by our opponents.

They refer to outnumbering us at their rally in the fall. The facts are, they highly publicized their event in front of the Morris. They had a scattered crowd in the plaza of no more than 150 people. Tea Party groups sent out an email to encourage a counter protest. I was there and we marched along St. Joseph street with about 20 people with signs. That was the day that Joe Donnelly stated that "health care is a right".

Maybe turn it into an OC rally as well, with signs that say "does Obamacare cover funerals?" or "you'll need more than healthcare if you don't stop screwing hardworking Americans!"

I'd go to that.

I'm all for it. Familiarize yourself with South Bend local laws though.
