This critter appeared to fall from the top of the door inside my walkin closet? Maybe just caught it in the middle of a jump?

This one seems oddly colored with noticeable spurs. Maybe normal, but I've never seen one close?

I have always called them cave crickets.

I had a roommate in college who INSISTED they were jumping spiders...LOL

The fact they only had 6 legs ment NOTHING to the biology major...still jumping spiders....LOL

But seriously, yes, camelback cricket. Not really harmful themselves, but they are a sign of dampness issues. If you have them inside, may want to check your humidity level and see if you have any leaks.

This one seemed to fall from the doortop, AS I WAS WALKING THROUGH IT. :runaway: You might say I was startled...:nailbite:

This is the first time I've ever seen one inside.

I live in the middle of a 2 mile slope. They built the basement for the sump pump to move out the ground water flow.

Colloquially camel back crickets here. I have an ex girlfriend who is terrified of them.
Could access to cave crickets on your part have ANY connection to why she became an ex?? Just curious--no reason, really...

Not that *I* would have ever used someone's terror of spiders... ahem, certain critters... to elicit what I perceived as hilarity on (many an) occasion, myself. Nope, I would certainly NOT have been involved in any such shenanigans. Not that I'd admit to, anyhow.
