Custom Colt Defender, done by AllenM

Long story short, I wanted a couple things done to my Colt Defender. It started out as recrowning the barrel, and doing a cerakote job. Well, Allen and I got to talking, and ended up with alot more.

Anyway, here is a little show and tell of its current progress..

Defender before..

How it sits now..

Fit slide to frame

Smoothing all the edges on the frame

Fit MSH to frame

Blending the magwell

11 degree target crown

Almost ready for cerakote!!

He does awesome work, I am extremely excited for this refinish! I had to share.

Very nice. Allen does good coating so I'm sure you'll be happy with it. That said, the barrel crown looks nice... Didn't know you did that Allen........ Hmmm....

I thought you might like that. Give yourself some credit here, you gave me a very detailed list of what you wanted. I think I only suggested 1 change.
Nice choice with Sniper Gray accents. I liked it so well I did one of my own the same color combo a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, I pondered on the color scheme for quite some time before finally deciding on it. I am not sure how many hours I spent on the Cerkote website looking through pics. lol. It turned out really great though, I cant wait to see it in person.

It was a good shooter before, I can only imagine how it will be now, after all the internal work. I cant wait to finally get it back to the range and test it out!

Sad thing is the pistol wasn't done last night when I went home so I couldn't sleep either. therefore, I got up in the middle of the night and finished yours and another one also.
