I set my alarm for 6:00 AM on days with full schedules. Today was a full day so the standard 6:00 alarm was on line and I woke as always but felt a bit off. Made coffee and turned on the computer to find I had woke at 5:00 AM due to the time change. Confused until I see it is DST at it's best.

On a slight threadjack from the OP...
I've been back in Indiana since 2007 (left for the AF in 1986). Grew up in the Salem area, slow time and fast time means something. If you take out the years overseas with no DST, it took me 14 years to get used to DST.

What I hate about it is I always forget to change my coffee pot timer. So the first day (much like today) the smell pulls me out of bed at 4am instead of 5!

Day-light saving ... contrary to popular belief, there is no 's' on the word saving.

If we have to be stuck with this stupid, stupid time changing debacle, then can we at least use the correct term.

One of the best things about Indiana was that we didn’t have to change the clocks twice a year … thank a lot Mitch!

However, since this retarded practice has been around a lot longer than digital clocks, you’d think that all the digital clock manufacturer’s would have a +/- hour button … another epic failure.

Another really nice feature in Indiana was no traffic circles … now they’re everywhere and the Hill Billy’s that live here still think there’s a stop sign at every intersection.

    * sigh * I need to get to the range for some recoil therapy.
