Not true. I worked with many democrats that were pro-gun and it always caught me off guard when it was mentioned that dem's were anti-gun. Later I did find out that higher office democrats were anti-gun.
An individual Democrat may be pro-gun, pro-life, anti-illegal alien, etc. but they still put people like Nance Pelosi and Harry Reid in positions of leadership and those jokers set the agenda and our little pro-us demos have to go along.

It's funny how an entire party can make it part of their platform to go against the constitution, and yet still be relevant and accepted by many Americans isn't it? They have become the Socialist party in practice, but still don't like to be called socialists. Why is it that they are ashamed of their true nature and seek to deceive others into believing they are something different? They should rename the party to the Democratic Socialist party IMO.

Well, When one of our Supreme Court Justices says South Africa has a better constitution than we do what can you hope for?

The communist party went away mid century because the mainstream democrats took up all of their core beliefs. We know what they are. And so do they.

Okay , so who put those Republican votes for the Brady Bill , The Patriot act and Domestic Eaves dropping ?

I'd say both Parties in Washington have tried to take away our rights , some have gone straight to the point and the others have been playing the end game .

You only even hear them spout 2A at re-election time .

Yes, I agree. My point was that even people whose votes we agree with will determine the Senate and House leadership. That leadership then sets the agenda and that's where we get hurt. The leadership can really put the hurt on the individual "good" member to conform ("You want some of the road money in this bill to go to fixing those dangerous bridges in your little back water district? Sure. But you WILL vote "yes" on my bill to fork over $3 trillion to fund high speed rail (that nobody wants or will use) in California, won't you?!?)
