Title says it all. I've seen a few threads where a lot of people are real loose about what they own. Wouldn't it be in your best interest to not tell 23,000+ registered members plus untold numbers of guests all about what you own, how much ammo you have, and all the stuff you've purchased/built as preps? I don't know, just thinking out loud.

I have nothing to hide, nor do I have anything to fear.

I've posted pictures of my entire small collection on INGO lots of times.

IMO, there are too many people on here that get worked up over nothing.

Eh, I don't share much detail. Regardless, I'm always armed as is everyone in my home, there is a set plan, additional hidden weapons, and there's ALWAYS neighbors home, plus my four legged residence protector. I'm not too worried personally.

Is it a good idea to tell about everything you have? No.

But is it nice to share your personal experiance and opinions with other like minded people? Yes.

Kind of a catch 22 aint it?

Mosinguy, you make a valid point, especially when employers and other .gov agencies have access to snoop on you. However, we are all free citizens and although I would hate to be labeled a nut because I own an AK 47 (video being prepared as I type), I want to inspire others to take up the lifestyle/hobby I so enjoy. If it wasn't for pictures and videos, I doubt if some could consider themselves as being an owner of a suppressed Savage .308, SBR, or full-auto AK 47(the real kind, not what you see on the news).

We are not criminals and have nothing to hide. However, I also respect the choice of others to not post anything about what they own.

Is it a good idea? Of course not. It would be safer to be silent.
Is it simply ridiculous, irresponsible, insane. No.
Life would be boring and this forum defunct if we couldn't talk about the things we like.

Honestly i dont think it is, however it is good to share what you have and expierences as one member has already stated and too keep some guns hidden in the house.

But this goes for anything, alot of people post WAY to much on FB, like going out to dinner tonight after they post OH we just got this awesome new TV. I think its a good idea to limit what you put out on the internet, your job, what you have at your house, your whole daily plan.

Just keep it smart and dont make yourself a target.

You can always show a card or two, just don't show your whole hand.

It is hard to separate Fact from Fiction on the Internet. :dunno:

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story! :):

A gun hobby is kind of like fishing (no wonder so many guns are lost in boating accidents).

Plus, we have these cool icons: :gotpics:
