I need to know if the barrels and receiver share a serial number, just the barrels share it, or they are all different. Also how many digits the serial number is.

    Thanks.

Had one, sold it. Rcvr is the serial #'d part IIRC. Like most combo guns, it's not REAL good at anything. One to leave at the cabin in case you get snowed in and need a fool hen or a squirrel to eat. Not something I'd buy again on purpose.

I'm not planning to buy one, its to try and track a stolen gun. All the owner has is the .22 barrel and I'm wondering if there's any way to extrapolate that into the rest of the serial numbers. I'll try to contact Rossi today, but obviously they weren't answering the phone line last night.

I had a .22 mag/.410 combo. I sold it so I can not look at the barrel but the serial nuumber was SP6328XX. I think it was manufactured in 2007-2008.

I would think if the barrel has the last four numbers, that would work in part for a report. The last four fould obviously be unique to the gun.

Thanks for the help. I was able to contact Rossi (awesome hold music, btw, sort of spaghetti western background type music) and they confirmed that the barrel markings have no relationship to the receiver. Apparently they aren't even made in the same facility and whatever barrel is next up gets put with whatever receiver is next up.
