I have several cans that I moved with. I am wondering how long they are good for?

Can you spray a blast and have it work later as well?

The cans of OC. That our department uses has an expectation of 4 years. Like others have said its a loss of pressure of the propellant. The oil is still good just no way to push it out of the can

The manufacturer will say no, but if it doesn't have any other additives (foaming agents, dye, mace) then it really won't hurt you other than the pain of the burn...

    Sorry, forgot my purple pen

OK. All my stuff is older than that at minimum. Was going to give some to an old friend who may ne having some issues with an ex and a weirdo at work. I was going to give her a can and a keychain version when the law changes in MA on Jan 1st ( no more gun permit for pepper spray.....Really)

    Any reccomended brands?

I like to replace canisters every few years. They're relatively cheap. Use the old ones for training. Frankly, I've yet to have a canister go bad within 3 yrs. (with good treatment).
