Does pizza need a side dish?

pizza should be a thin crust topped in this order... thick layer of spicy pizza sauce wall to wall... fresh italian sausage with fennel seeds wall to wall... thin layer tri mix of cheeze consitsting of mozzarella parisian romano... spicy pepperoni wall to wall... thick layer of tri mix of cheeze consitsting of mozzarella parisian romano...

The only thing a pizza needs is meat. Anything cleaved from a dead animal that is then charred, smoked, cured or ground and heavily spiced is appropriate. This would include, but not be limited to, pepperoni, sausage, bacon and/or ham.

If you want a side, have them add it to the pizza. Mushrooms, onions and peppers come to mind. If you desire a green leafy salad, feel free to top the pizza with fresh basil.

Wash it down with beer to maintain a proper hydration level.

tomato is a fruit... and tomato sauce is made from tomatoes.

Beer is tricky. It is made from a type of caryopsis, a cereal grain, like wheat, barley or rice, which are fruits. A flower bud is considered a vegetable. But I do not know enough about beer to know if hops are the buds, or are already the matured ovary, prior to being used to make beer.

To the question...

Pizza doesn't require a side dish.... the sides are the toppings!
Extra cheese, pepperoni, bacon, extra bacon, deep dish, with banana peppers....mmmmmm

Vegetables= i.e. anything "salad" (on the pizza)

Sometimes. I was in Sweden last summer and they serve their pizza with a side called "Pizza Slaw". Just a simple cabbage slaw with vinegar and oil. Very plain but was really tasty.
