I accidentally left my gun room door ajar, and my "puppy" (65lbs:rolleyes:)
got in, and found a box of .223.

Most are untouched, but 2 or 3 rounds have a small indentation in them. One on the case wall, about half-way up the case. Two are directly on the shoulder, just below the neck. Each dent is about 1/16th" deep.

I was wondering, what could be the results if these were fired? I'm not going to risk damage or injury to find out. Three rounds are not enough to sweat over.

I am curious though. Could this situation cause an over-pressure? Am I just being over-cautious?

No problems to fire. Cases get dents on occasion. When you fire, the case will form to the chamber. I've had dents in cases from over lube when reloading. Loaded them up and shot them with no issues.
