Hello all,

I know a guy that works at Milestone and he said the south split has just opened for travel. Has anyone been by/through there tonight? We're headed to the 1500 this weekend (from Columbus) and it would be nice if that was open. Haven't been to that part of Indy since it has been closed.

The traffic cameras look rather empty. Still looks like spotlights up in the Fletcher Ave shot. Nothing interesting on Twitter from the INDOT people either.

It's still closed... I think it's down to 14 days max before it's reopened. Rumor had it they are ahead of schedule though.

If its open 15 days ahead but there were only 14 days to go,wouldn't it have opened yesterday? Maybe I'm just old and confused.

I think Oct. 31st was the planned finished date... with incentives for finishing ahead of schedule.

I've always thought Milestone did good work. I doubt they would "cut corners".

I drove the new section today (went slightly out of my way to do so ). Looks good. Only slightly affected me once during the whole process, but still nice to be done with it early and get that 465 traffic back on 65/70.

I'm guessing none.... Work on an interstate in Indianapolis - I guarantee that INDOT had inspectors there constantly making sure everything is to their specifications.

Go back and look at the weather for the past 40 days... Beautiful weather = faster construction.
