I'll hope for sharks with freaking lasers on their heads.Way back in the day all the money out that way pushed this in that direction. Sail boats are pretty quit. They do not go very fast. Fits the demeanor of the locals.

Until they make it " idle only" and do away with the ignorant 10 HP limit, **** them!
Eagle Creek is roughly 1500 acres, as I recall, and I had to have my 225 jacked and tilted out of the water to avoid a ticket. 1500 acres is to big for trolling motor only. I hope the fish get big enough to eat sailboaters and democrats. I'll giggle, because they earned it by their meddling. Sail boat pond!
Or, lobby to get the rules changed to YOUR preference? Why not just play by the rules?
I did play by the rules. I took my bass boats and money else where. **** them! Why not just play by the rules?
Now you are just being silly. The coalition of sailboat doctors has had that pond for three generations. It won't change.Or, lobby to get the rules changed to YOUR preference?
Not like there isn't a process for this.

Thats rule number one.
It seems there are some issues:

It has been my understanding that you can put a boat in Eagle Creek with any size engine but you cannot start and use one over 10 hp
Necrobump given Amboy's recent new thread on the topic. I came across this searching for news articles. Apparently I missed this post when I commented in 2019.I thought I had heard that through a carb change, one could change a 9.9 to a 15 hp. May have been fishing shop lore though (much like gun shop lore).
And in the case of my fully loaded 12' deep vee fishing boat, I create almost no wake when I'm on plane. motoring along at a "reasonable speed" creates a ridiculous wake for the size of the boat. (my daughter is very anxious and wont let me get up to speed when we fish there)The public perception is that a 15hp is 50% more powerful (meaning vessel speed) than a 9.9hp. Not the case, in real world it would amount to a few mph increase in most vessels…
