So I have an eastern arms 410....
    Here's what I know:

It's old, if anybody knows how to date it from the SN please let me know. I do know that they were sold by Sears and Roebuck

I've had the barrel professionally shortened 4 inches and a new front sight button installed due to damage (My father in law, as a teenager, thought it would be cool while loading his own ammo to load a hot round with the wadding but place a 3/4 length arrow in the shell rather than shot......Loud bang followed by FAIL) I have had it inspected by several pros and it shoots well what little I have shot it, though it did lose a little choke (it shoots about an 8in spread @ 30yds with 000Buckshot)

It is missing the front grip and has been for many years after it fell off while tracking a rouge rabbit.

If anyone can give me any more information on the gun or knows where I can get a front grip please let me know!

    Thanks

Eastern Arms was a brand label used by I believe H&R to sell to hardware stores into the Depression era. I researched one that was in the family for at least 3 generations years ago. My Papaw gave a 12 ga Eastern to my Dad in the 60's. They kick like a mule!!!

I've seen some Eastern's at gun shows before too. Finding parts will be hard. These guns were solid but not expensive and sold in times where they were needed to be used hard in order to put food on the family tables.

I cannot guarantee this information, so take it for what you're paying for it.

Most of these Eastern Arms Sears shotguns were made by Savage, although a few were made by Iver Johnson. I think your .410 is essentially a Savage model 94,, so a ,410 forend should fit.

As for dating your shotgun, the photo shows a "C" after the serial. That is how Savage marked the year of manufacture on their break-open guns. "C" stands for 1951.
