16 year old girls sleeping with 21 year old guys = consensual(*gross as hell in my opinion, but consensual)

16 year old guys sleeping with 38 year old women = consensual(*weird as hell in my opinion, but consensual)

I couldn't tell if you were still on topic. I agree the two former points you listed are consensual, but everything lawful isn't profitable, especially in this case where a person in a place of trust is involved.

I still don't think a woman that has consensual sex with a 16 year old boy/guy/young man should suspended from her job teaching 5-11(12?) year old kids.

Again, I think it's completely weird, but there is a law with a minimum age set in place for a reason. The 38 year old weirdo had sex with a guy who met the legal requirements, so I don't understand the issue.

Keep in mind, Benny, that even with "age of consent" laws come stipulations on ages/penalties. It's almost a sliding scale into full adulthood / emancipation / age of majority.

person of age + person 2-3 years older is usually kosher (not that it makes it right) = "kid with a kid"

person of age + person 2x as old is generally still considered criminal because the first person is not yet an adult. = kid with an adult.

It all has to do with someone being of age, yet not quite an adult being taken advantage of by an adult (in the eyes of the law).

It's not at all cut and dried at "they're 16, go for it".

Bingo, men and women are different whether we want them to be or not. In general women tend to like to have a more emotional connection with someone they are having sex with. Guys not as much. There is a reason there are a LOT more strip clubs and escort services catering to men.
