ENCORE 17HMR PISTOL BARREL

Do any of you guys shoot this cal. pistol barrel on your ENCORE ? Thinking about buying one , but was looking for basiclly a review to see if this is a worthwhile endevour or a waste of time ? I dont know much about this caliber and am hoping its going to be quieter than a 22lr ? How is sub-sonic ammo on this set-up , or do they make sub-sonic for the 17hmr? If you guys have one to sell let me know.I am going after groundhogs on ditch banks , I hope.

No. Not quieter. No subsonic HMR ammo.
Had a Contender carbine and a Anschutz pistol in HMR. Both were very accurate. There are TC barrels out there. Check Match Grade Machine.

Wast of time if you're looking for quieter than .22.

Subsonic 300 BO rounds through a quality suppressor would be quieter.
