    I've run sporters on chucks for decades.
    Handloads, guns shot them well.
    You kill some, get yourself dialed in to the process, anything under 200 yards is boring. Interesting to 300.
    Fun past that.

    I was looking at 223s the other day at Field and Stream. They had a Savage in 223 with the heavy barrel model 11 with a scope, ( 4 - 12 I think ) it was $500. I handled it and it felt good in my hands. I would have gotten it if I had the money on me. That is why I don't travel with my spending money till I am ready to buy. It is just to easy to talk me into buying stuff.
