Anyone know of a guy that does this? Perferably in NW Indiana. Found a buck in a log jam this morning goose hunting, Some dumb ass shot the poor thing in the head with a arrow. It was NOT a kill shot, I'm sure it lived for sometime before it died.

I did my own and it turned out great. (see avatar)

It only took about 3 hrs of actual work and another 3hrs of sitting around watching it either simmer in my kettle. Then soaking it for a couple days in peroxide.

    mount

It is my avatar and my pic on the profile page.

I picked up a piece of Black Walnut to use as a mount base to ofset the bleached white of the skull. As soon as the wx gets better I'll finish it up.

PM me if you need more info on how to do it.

I don't have any information to assist with the issue...sorry.

But I can't help but wonder...what was the deer doing goose hunting? :dunno:

    bleach

Be careful with using bleach to whiten a skull. Bleach will actually eat away and soften the bone if left on to long. It is best to use peroxide, works just as good and won't damage bone.

A guy I work with does that, but it takes several months and you have to protect it so the antlers don't get eaten by the little critters that like that kind of stuff.
