Ok that same note....once again fishing Fall Creek saw a nakid hippy in a tree platform over the creek sunning himself.....scared for life!!!

Pairs of mallards often sit on rooftops in my subdivision. And I've seen a few ducks in trees, but they were all woodies I believe.

That's a Mallard hen for sure, never seen one land in a tree. But Wood Ducks, however, do nest in trees.
I saw a PBS special that showed hooded mergansers nesting in hollow trees. Ducklings hatched on their own and jumped 20+ feet to the ground below and walked to nearest water where mom was calling.
They also said turkeys are known to nest the same way. I would've lost money on that bet.
