    N.W. Disillusionment
St. Louis radio stations reported this event Tuesday, erroneously giving a location on Winchesters' Alton, IL campus. That is where powder is produced and ammo is loaded. Disaster in the making, as the campus is several late 19th century buildings and 2 modern (1950's) chemical plants surrounding a small central fire dept. There are shooting ranges just North of the production facilities. However, the brass plant is about 1 1/2 miles from the campus, as the news corrected Wednesday, and interviews of employees indicate it was more in the nature of an electrical transformer malfunction. No word yet as to injuries or delays in production.
I'll try to find a link to stories and post up later.
