I bought one cheap for my 1911 (range only).

Yep, PT1911 AND ProMag, AND they work, lol.

Luck maybe, but it feels pretty cheap and I keep thinking it'll break every outing, but so far so good.

No way I'd ever try one for carry.

I jumped on the deal last year. I don't care for springfields huge accessory package with the crap holster and crap mag pouch that 99 percent of people don't use. I opted for the XDS9 4.0 with 1-9rd, 2-8rd, and 2-7rd all for 440 dollars out the door.
