I thought I'd share a quick and easy was to make a clay target hanger for your outdoor range - the cost is 'almost' zero and it works like a charm.
The pictures show the result - just take a standard clothespin , drill a hole at one end for a hanging string or wire, and cut off the lip of one end of the clothespin just before the curve.
The pictures show location of the cut and the new hanger in action gripping a clay target with surpising strength.
Just don't tell the wife why her supply of spring loaded clothespins is dwindling.
