This coming up again caused me to look for updates on the FBI investigation. These are old stories, but I thought I would add them since I didn't see them elsewhere in the thread. I couldn't find anything newer than these on the lawsuit, so I'm not sure if it is still ongoing or was settled without any public disclosure.
The first one is no surprise to anybody:
The Justice Department is closing its review of two former FBI agents who botched the investigation into Larry Nassar, the doctor who sexually assaulted dozens of girls and women, including some of the nation's most prominent gymnasts.
The FBI is opening settlement discussions with survivors of sexual assault by former U.S. gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, according to legal and congressional sources.
The Justice Department on Tuesday announced it settled with Larry Nassar abuse victims for $138.7 million over the FBI's mishandling of the investigation.
