    being able to see your enemy without them seeing you is an enormous tactical advantage....under cover of darkness you can take on much greater opponents...that being said....lighter colors reflect more light giving your position away.....black all the way

    The problem with that is an all black rifle stands out during the day time. Nothing "natural" is all black attached to a multi-colored "thing". This was proved to me by a guy who took my all black 16" AR15 and his multi-colored 16" AR15 and hung them from trees 75 yards away from us. I knew the position of both rifles as I was standing right there when he hung them up. After the walk 75 yards away I turned around and immediately could see mine... it took me several seconds to find his even though I knew exactly where it was.
