I am not a stranger to rifles, but I am unsure about how FFLs work. I am looking at a rifle on gunbroker.com. This is the first weapon that I looking to get from out of state and over the internet. The problem is that I am in NY for school, and wont be back until Christmas, and I keep my rifles back home in Indiana. I was wondering if I got the rifle, could I have my brother pick it up from the FFL? I am 90% sure the answer is no, but I thought I make sure before I assume.
    Thanks

Your brother could buy it and then sell it to you when you get home
    This ^^^

"Straw purchases" become a lot more explainable, or not so much of a straw purchase when it's family members. I've had my dad get guns for me before.

The chances of being prosecuted for a straw purchase are slim to none if it's a family member and you aren't a prohibited person.
