    Indiana no longer has the rolling school zone (at least not for now). So you are okay on that. As long as you don't get in a school bus or obviously school property.

    It's forbidden by IC. Do not do it. It's a school event and you can find yourself in loads of trouble. Not worth the hassle, jail time or money.

    It is not forbidden by law right now. It use to be but the law changed. It may change back next summer though. Right now though there is no issue so as long as he does not get on a bus or school property. I would highly recommend keeping it concealed though.

    IC 35-47-9-2 Version a

    Sec. 2. A person who possesses a firearm:
    (1) in or on school property; or
    (2) on a school bus;
    commits a Class D felony.
    As added by P.L.140-1994, SEC.11. Amended by P.L.172-2013, SEC.13.
    IC 35-47-9-2 Version b

    Note: This version of section amended by P.L.158-2013, SEC.601, effective 7-1-2014. See also preceding version of this section amended by P.L.172-2013, SEC.13.
    Sec. 2. A person who knowingly or intentionally possesses a firearm:
    (1) in or on school property;
    (2) in or on property that is being used by a school for a school function; or
    (3) on a school bus;
    commits a Level 6 felony.
    As added by P.L.140-1994, SEC.11. Amended by P.L.158-2013, SEC.601.

    I have read it was a clerical error that puts this "rolling school zone" back into the law next year. Hopefully they fix it before July of 2014

    Not sure where they are defined. I'm almost positive though a private preschool would meet the requirements.

    Unless you are 100% sure though do no carry at the school. If you are going to carry then meet them at the location of the trip.
