Next county over, I also grabbed three boxes of the lowly Tula from
    Ruby at the Paoli Wal-Mart.

SLIM pickings! LOTS of shotgun shells. A couple of hunting rifle calibers, NOTHING else.

No handgun ammo whatever, and of course, nothing but dust bunnies on the .22 shelf. No surprise there.........

I was at the surplus store in Bedford this morning. they had .22, 50 rds. for 9 bucks. they also had 9mm, 100 rds. for 60 bucks. I passed on both.

Damn. So many places are back to somewhat reality. Yet too many are still out there. Grabbed 50rds of 9mm for $12.50 and a 100 bulk pack 9mm for $21 just a while back. Of course I lucked into that :)

I hear the tulammo is a dirty ammo. I picked up 3 50rd boxes the other day for like 10 bucks a box plus tax. Maybe i will just shoot those at the range first and then give it a good cleaning.

Though I enjoyed my post count at 666 :rockwoot:

Feel I need to break it to stand up for my boys at Tula. I PREFER the stuff. Don't feel the need to apologize for getting it, it's reliable and shoots true. i've ran hundreds of rounds through my AR - never a problem, and i can't tell much of a difference (if any) between that and brass remington when I do cleaning and maintenance.

I might buy tulammo in desperation but I woiuld hoard it for emergencies rather than shoot it. Cheap, dirty ammo.

All i was referring to was what friends and relatives have told me about Tulammo. This was my first time buying it. I won't knock it till i try it.

For those of you in southern Indiana, the new Cabela's opened this weekend in Louisville. They had Herter's 223 for $6.99 a box. Also steel cased but seemed to be plenty around the store. A limit of 5 boxes though.
