Thats my first thought as well. With the number of times I've heard of fires at ranges, and how it shut down BG range for so long I'm not put off by the restrictive rules some have requiring they even inspect your range bag contents.
When the backstop material is rubber pellets. Once it gets started...it's like a burning tire dump.
When it happened at Beech Grove Firearms, to put it out, they had to knock a hole in the wall and carry the pellets out with a Bobcat loader. (And that's not even talking about what the smoke does to the rest of the building).
That sucks. My friends and I would go shooting there all the time when we go up to Michigan. Hope the damage isnt too bad. Pretty unique joint with an archery range, boxing ring and fitness center. A real man cave kinda place.
BTW, this one isnt part of the Point Blank range chain that has locations throughout Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.
