    No, the article said leg…
    Appendix carry in a vehicle has the muzzle pointing right at body parts one, generally, does not want to have damaged or destroyed including...the femoral artery! But, as the article stated, he was just finishing working a detail, which, as generally occurs, the officer would have been wearing a uniform with his pistol carried in an officer's gun belt / holster, which then begs the question, was he 'playing around with' his firearm?
    Still...very sad! Condolences to his family!

    Just reread the article. He was also a retired Command Sergeant Major with 31 years service. They're notoriously very hardcore when it comes to handling all weapons and weapons systems safely. It's the one he didn't see coming.
