I traded one of my G19's today for a mint condition Beretta 92A1. This particular model was made in Italy. After a buddy of mine recently picked up a used 92FS and got to the fondling/shooting of it, I knew I had to have one of my own.

The deal was great. Three 17 round magazines includeds, as well as 50 Winchester PDX1 JHP's. To say the least, I'm thoroughly impressed with the fit and finish of the pistol. Great trigger, easy-as-pie takedown. Anywho, just thought I'd share with my pals. Gun porn below...

There is a reason the Beretta 92 series is so popular, and you have just found some of them.

When you finally get to a place to shoot it, you will find the other reasons!

    ENJOY!!!

Thanks man! I've shot my buddies 92FS, but I'm really anxious to get this one out there. I liked what little time I had with the FS a lot. Thanks for the kind words.

Too bad. Hope you like your newer pistol better.

Not everyone feels comfortable with the 92, and it is up to you what to do if you aren't.

Best of luck with it's replacement.

Were you wearing a mask when you made that trade?:D Berettas are quality. I'm on my third. I currently own a 96D and a 92FS Police Special and may have to take the plunge on the Nano.

So your trading this now in the classifieds, right? What didn't you like about it?

The open slide design at first seemed pretty interesting but, I really didn't care for the little amount of purchase I got when racking the slide (it's also kind of bitey if you don't stop and realize what you're doing at first). It also didn't really fit my hands all that well, and that's no surprise as I'm a Glock and Sig guy. I could of gotten use to all the issues, but I figured why do that when I can get something I know would fit and be compatible with me.

Yep, took it out three times. Tried getting accustomed to it but it was just off with me. I think if the Beretta could speak, it'd tell you the same thing and that it was a mutual thing :D
I hear ya. If it does'nt feel right then there is no sense in keeping something. Hope everything works out and you find a mutual deal that works out with someone else. Then you'll both be happy. :yesway:

I hope you can trade it for something you want. I've come to the realization since becoming a gun owner that sometimes that one or two range visit doesn't give you the full experience. I feel you pretty much have to own it, carry it, shoot it for a while to really determine weather it's the right gun for you or not. It's an expensive trail and error, but it must be done so you know there isn't the gun out there that you've been missing! I sometimes get a good feeling after realizing a gun doesn't meet my expectations of what I do like. Makes me glad that the gun I do have servers me better. Until then, still searching...

But I'm glad you gave it a chance, at least you tried! +1 to you sir!
