My Food Saver is a different model, but I just want to say those work REALLY good! Grains, meats, whatever, nothing goes stale, no freezerburn.
My wife bought it at Kohl's of all places, on sale, with an extra 20% off coupon. (Proud to have a cheapskate for a wife:D).

I don't have that model but I love my Food Saver!!!

Use it a lot when I go camping.

Ready mixed Omelets, hash-browns, burgers, you name it.

I make different trail mixes and vac them.

I use it for my BOB. LOVE Vac sealed socks!!!

I joined this forum just for this thread. Has anyone tried the v3020 that was on sale? Can't find reviews on that specific one anywhere so I was hoping someone here had something to say.

They just went on sale again only this time it's $50 shipped. You have to input code D1FV50A when checking out.

Where exactly did that go on sale at? Which website?

I don't know why, but my post was edited to remove the link I included. Called it "pointless". I'd say your question refutes that judgement!

Anyway, it was the foodsaver website. I guess you have to go to foodsaver and search for v3020.

Edit: It might have taxes involved. For me in SC there was none.

Just ordered one of these. Figured I couldn't get hurt too bad for $50.00. Will post here once I have had a chance to try it. LocalHero thanks for the promo code. I decided to buy 2 so I have a back-up.

The code worked still as of 4/15/2011
During check out I had to click the little "edit" button to the left to get the prompt to enter the code, but it did give 50% off and free shipping,no taxes where charged. So 50 dollars even for a food saver, what a great deal! Thanks a ton LocalHero!

Yer welcome. My post was a totally self-serving since I was really looking for a review of this model which I never could find. I bought one anyway and hope we all enjoy them for years to come.
Fishing season is really getting rolling here so I'll be putting mine to the test as soon as it arrives! :)
