What would you do if a member of your household forgets to lock a door on a regular basis? You've tried reminding this person over and over again to stop being an idiot but, they're a very forgetful person and cannot seem to manage that.

If a new roommate is out of the question, you may want to consider a gun safe. At least that way you can protect your firearms and other valuables.

    under your bed!!!
My son never used to lock the deadbolt on the house after repeatedly telling him to. I changed the lock on the front door and didnt give him a key for a week. He couldnt get in after work and usually had to wait a bit for someone to get home. That cured that problem.

Lock the door your damn self.
Yeah. This makes perfect sense because I stand by this door all the time. It's what I do for a living.

    22. I've been looking for apartments in my price range but there's no way.

Can you at least lock your bedroom door? If it doesn't have a real lock (instead of the kind that use the little allen wrench type 'key'), buy an exterior doorknob and switch it out. Keep all your valuables in your room...
