I had one that I bought a our local fasenal for $8. Thought of it as a cheep work knife, and that exactly what it was. Cheep. I want to say it was a china made knife. When new, blade was fairly tight, but didn't last a day and was loose. Blade held a descent edge for a while though. I think it was a low grade stainless. Hope this helps.
