There's a big difference between a good ferro rod and a bad one. I wouldn't guess that's a great one. Report back after you get it. I'd be curious if it works well.

So with reservation I ordered one of these and it did indeed come in today. It's cheap but not terrible, the Ferro rod portion is small but the set up doesn't need strong application. It has a plastic casing with a thin metal overlap on three sides. The portion that connects to the key chain is really small but over all the idea is pretty cool.

Personal opinion is it's nearly free and a good back up to the back up or a use and abuse tool.
