They were probably just 4 'innocent' young men that 'accidentally' fell into the door, it opened, and they just entered the house to find the homeowner and inform him they had inadvertently broken the door. Poor kids!

    Lucky they're not ALL dead.

Why on earth did the homeowners NOT shoot them? :dunno:
because the "rules of engagement" didn't allow it. The thugs ran away instead of waiting for the ARMED homeowner, who was upstairs, to come downstairs; and the thug who was captured, hid in the bathroom.

The TV news in Ft. Wayne is pretty biased on their reporting just like national news.
Also seems to be the wrong part of town to find drugs and money in the home. I also find it hard to believe that he didn't know the other guys he was with.

FT wayne still suffers from the Helmke effect. They can't report guns being good when they know guns are bad.

I hope the homeowners at least took some "liberties" with the guy while they were waiting for police. Maybe a little, "He made a threatening move" pistol whipping or something.

Didn't read anything about an AR15, just a handgun. Did I miss it?

"One of the victims yelled to the resident still upstairs to get an assault rifle, at which point all four of the would-be robbers ran out the front door, according to the affidavit."

From the above linked J.G. story. We do not know from this news story that a longgun was there.
If not for trees and homes, that's line of sight from my house. Some dealers live in good houses.
I say this, not as an accusation, but because of the Cherry Hill and other busts in this area.

    Thanks

    Mark
